Lili Panarella is a divorce attorney, experienced litigator, and founder of Matrium Law Group. Born and raised in Missoula, Montana, Lili attended Hellgate High School and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Montana. After graduating from Lewis & Clark Law School, she practiced at Stoel Rives LLP in Portland, Oregon, for more than a decade. In 2010, Lili returned home to Montana and founded Matrium Law Group.

With nearly three decades of legal experience, Lili brings a tough-minded, no-nonsense approach to divorce and family law. Her philosophy is *si vis pacem, para bellum*—if you want peace, prepare for war. She believes the strongest position at the negotiating table comes from being fully prepared to litigate when necessary.

Lili is strategic, direct, and aggressive in protecting her clients’ interests. She prepares contested cases with the expectation that they may go to trial, identifies pressure points early, and does not shy away from difficult facts, difficult opponents, or difficult litigation. When a fair resolution can be achieved through negotiation, she works to achieve it efficiently. When litigation is necessary, she is prepared to pursue her client’s position relentlessly.

That approach does not mean creating conflict for its own sake. Family law disputes are deeply personal, and unnecessary litigation can be expensive and destructive. Lili’s objective is to distinguish between conflict that accomplishes something and conflict that does not—and to ensure that when a fight matters, her client is prepared for it.

Lili handles contested and collaborative divorce, parenting, child custody, and other family law matters throughout Montana. She is also a certified mediator, giving her an informed understanding of both sides of the negotiation process and the dynamics that can lead to resolution.
